The Christensen Arms CA9MM combines a light, compact modern sporting rifle platform with 9 mm chambering. The CA9MM combines a direct blowback operation, carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel, flash suppressor, single-stage trigger, M-LOK handguard and a sub-MOA guarantee!
The heart of the gun is its 416R stainless steel barrel that’s been meticulously wrapped in carbon fiber. Thus it is very strong yet simultaneously remarkably lightweight. In fact, it’s three times stiffer than a similar weight steel barrel and won’t expand with heat. So it is heat resistant, dissipates heat much more rapidly than a steel barrel and is also corrosion resistant.
The nose is fronted by a 1/2"x28 TPI muzzle to which is affixed a black nitrided three-prong stainless steel flash suppressor. The bolt carrier group also has a black nitride finish.
Both the upper and lower receiver are nicely forged out of 7075 aerospace grade aluminum and matte black anodized. The lower receiver has a flared magwell for quick and easy magazine swaps. Both the upper receiver and carbon aluminum M-LOK handguard are topped by a full-length aluminum Picatinny rail that runs seamlessly from atop one to the other. The handguard also has two QD mounts.
The gun comes in three 1 to 10” twist barrel lengths: 7.5”, 10.5” and 16.0”. Each is six-groove button-rifled and has a corresponding M-LOK handguard that measure 6.25”, 9.25” and 14.75” respectively. Thus in each case, the barrel is .75” longer than the handguard.
The three barrels also present another option: that of the stock. The 16.0” barrel gun comes with a Mission First Tactical matte black polymer Battlelink Minimalist stock. This “L” shape stock is 7.1” long, 5.2” tall, 1.7” wide and weighs 5.8 ounces. It has several sling slots and a thick, horizontally ribbed anti-slip rubber buttpad at the end.
The 7.5” and 10.5” barrel versions both use a minimalist five-position SB Tactical SBA3 pistol stabilizing brace with an integrated ambidextrous QD swivel attachment point. It’s 1.8” wide, weighs 6.75 ounces and can be set to any of five lengths between 6.75” and 9.5”. At bottom is a single-stage match trigger. CA9MMs use Gen 4 Glock compatible magazines.
