The affordable EAA Churchill 212 Field Left-Handed single barrel 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun is, finally, one that’s optimized for left-handers. That’s right: the ejection port is on the left. All other contours and controls have also been modified as needed for lefties.

Beyond that, the Churchill 212 Field Left-Handed is like many other fine EAA Akkar products. Thus, it has cut-down, low-profile matte black receiver, matte blued barrel, a tumblehome matte black polymer forearm, and a matte black polymer straight butt stock. Capacity is 5+1, and the 212’s styling is a paragon of simplicity. Its black polymer parts visually meld together nicely and effortlessly with the metal ones.

European American Armory Corporation (EAA) of Cocoa, Florida imports the EAA Churchill 212 Field Left-Handed into the USA, but it’s actually Made in Turkey by Akkar. The EAA Churchill 212s are part of a portfolio that includes the EAA Churchill 812 over/under shotguns and the EAA Churchill 512 side-by-side guns.

The 212s feature an auto safety, a 7 mm vent rib above the barrel and a bead sight atop the rib. The matte black receiver is steel. The forearm is beautifully sculpted with bulbous flanks and checkering right where the hand falls. Naturally, this checkering echoes that on the grip’s sides. Little, if anything, is superfluous. The only concession to such is the pattern of light skeletonized spacings on the thick rubber recoil pad’s flanks.

The 212 comes with MC-5 chokes. The gun’s length of pull is 14.25". Drop at comb is 1.5” while drop at heel is 2.36”. It has a 28” long matte blued barrel, its overall length is 47.7” and weight is 6.3 pounds.
