The EAA MC312 Sport 12-gauge inertia action shotgun was designed for the shotgun segment of 3-gun competitions. Cocoa, Florida-based European American Armory Corporation (EAA) imports the affordable MC312 into the USA, but it’s actually Made in Turkey by Girsan. The Turkish gun maker started operations in 1993 in the Black Sea city of Giresun in northeastern Turkey. That Turkey is a large source of arms may come as a surprise, but with its large population and as home to NATO’s second largest army, Turkey has a large and well-developed arms industry!

The MC312 Sport is rugged, affordable and feature rich. The gun is all black except the machined receiver, that’s anodized in black, blue or red, which mates to a black polymer stock. There is one other variant of this gun, and that’s the MC312 Sport Wood. It’s configured with a black receiver and has an oil-rubbed Turkish walnut forend and stock. It’s otherwise the same as its polymer siblings.

Standard equipment includes a low-profile integrated Picatinny rail, a wide-view red dot optic sight, a red magazine tube follower that makes it easier to see if the chamber is empty and an enhanced loading port to quickly shove ammo into the magazine.

Atop the 24” long barrel is a raised vent rib with simple rhomboid piers and a high-visibility fiber optic sight in front. The gun comes with five screw-in choke tubes. In back is a nice, comfortable, contoured rubber buttpad. The pistol grip has finger recesses and there’s an undercut behind the upturned oval trigger guard. The MC312 is also available with a straight grip. These guns are 1.5” wide, have a 14.25” length of pull, an overall length of 46” and weigh 6.75” pounds.

EAA MC312 Sport also a 50” long all-black 28” barrel version that weighs 6.95 pounds.
