Ithaca Gun Company is a shotgun manufacturer established in 1883 by William Henry Baker, Leroy Smith and partners in Ithaca, New York. In 1967, the company was sold to General Recreation Inc., which would file bankruptcy in 1985 for a second time and Ithaca Guns received a new owner, Ithaca Acquisition Inc. in 1987. The company relocated to King Ferry, New York and in 2005, it would be sold again to the Marshalls from Upper Sandusky, Ohio where it currently resides and operates.

Ithaca Guns is well known for its Model 37 shotgun which was first put in production in 1937 and designed by John Moses Browning. It is a pump-action shotgun that loads and ejects shotshells from the bottom of the gun. The Model 37 has many different versions, like Featherlight, Turkey Slayer, and Waterfowl to name a few. It was used by the United States armed forces in World war II, the Korean War and Vietnam War and by the New York City and Los Angeles Police Departments. The Model 37 comes in 12, 20, and 28 gauge, and features a receiver carved out of a single block of American made steel.
