Kahr History & The CW9
Founder Justin Moon searched high a low for a quality compact handgun in the caliber he desired. Finding none, he decided to design his own. After buying the Auto-Ordnance Company in 1999, Moon established Kahr Arms and went about designing and testing his long-planned ultra-compact 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Following on the heels of more permissive concealed carry laws, Kahr offerings became very popular in the compact market.
Today Kahr offers a number of popular models such as the Kahr CM series, the K9 and the P9. Its CW line is an economy line, identical to the P line of pistols minus some luxury features. Made of black polymer with a matte stainless steel slide the Kahr CW9 is a 9mm pistol perfect for concealed carry. Just 4.5" high and 5.9" long the Kahr CW9 weighs only 15.8 ounces while its magazine is 1.9 ounces. With a 7+1 magazine capacity the Kahr CW9 adds up to a potent yet easily carried and affordable pistol.
