The Mossberg Maverick 88 – Security / Field Combo is a 5+1 capacity 12-gauge pump-action shotgun is a way Mossberg delivers extraordinary value. The 88’s modular architecture means it works with the two included barrels that swap easily. One is an 18.5” shorter barrel tactical security than most others in this series. The other is the classic 28” barrel that comes with Mossberg’s 88 Field lineup.

Regardless of which barrel you use, there are shared key attributes of this nicely balanced and aesthetically pleasing folding-stock pump-action. For starters, length of pull is 14.5” and capacity is 5+1, meaning five in the tube and one in the chamber. It has a 3” chamber and can fire both 2 ¾” and 3” loads. Its aluminum alloy receiver makes it affordable, lightweight and easy to maneuver while still maintaining durability. With either barrel, the gun is all matte black with blued barrels docked to its matte black synthetic forend and stock.

It has a front bead sight, twin action bars, positive steel to steel lockup and comes standard with a cable lock.
