The futuristic Nighthawk Custom Agent 2 is a premium M1911-type 10+1 semi-automatic pistol with sci-fi looks available in 9 mm or .45 ACP.

The gun is Cerakoted in monochromatic smoky gray. The 5” barrel comes in gold or stainless steel. The faceted slide has the usual long front and back vertical serrations. Behind the front serrations is a barrel-revealing trapezoidal lightening port on each flank and a platoon of little diagonal serrations just beneath them. It also has unusual G10 double-ramp grip panels sourced from Railscales.

Both the front strap and mainspring housing also have top to bottom lateral serrations. The ensemble of these design elements gives the Custom Agent 2 a sci-fi look.

The Custom Agent 2 has a Heinie Black Ledge rear sight similar to those originally designed for Special Forces units. In front is a red fiber optic sight.

Now some key dimensions. The slide is 8.59” long and only .92” wide. Thus there’s plenty of room between the front and rear sights, so the sight radius is 6.51” which makes for nice stable aiming. Height is 5.81”. This is big, solid steel frame gun, so not surprisingly, empty weight is 40.1 ounces (2 pounds, 8.1 ounces).

The gun is 1.29” wide across the G10 polymer grips. From front to back, these tri-cut grip panels ramp up, flatten out and then ramp back down. Their ramps have short horizontal serrations across them.

The recoil spring plug area is deeply faceted (with seven distinctly angled surfaces) and there’s a three-slot Picatinny accessory rail under the recoil spring and just in front of the trigger guard. The trigger guard is rounded and presents one of the few curves on the gun that’s otherwise a gathering of lines. Other curves beyond the obvious circle of the flush-mounted muzzle crown include the grip safety and beavertail. But that’s about it. Even the magazine release is a little square block protrusion and the magwell is faceted too.

The gun has a skeletonized hammer with a serrated thumb pad. The gun’s slide stop, contoured thumb safety and circular magazine release are only on the left. However, the graceful beavertail grip safety is, of course, ambidextrous.

The Nighthawk/Agency Custom Trigger is flat and solid without any porting. As befits a gun in this price range, it has crisp, clean, breaks. The firing pin is a .38 Super made of stainless steel.

The 10-round single-stack magazines are nicely designed with counting holes and polymer base pads, and they slot nicely into the magwell.
