The Radical Firearms .22 Nosler AR-type semi-automatic rifle has a medium contour 18” barrel, a remarkable 15” RPR free-float rail handguard and familiar looking M4 MIL-STD upper and lower receivers.

Both upper and lower receivers are forged from aerospace industry 7075-T6 aluminum and are Type III anodized for durability.

Look closely at the 15” long Radical Firearms Parallelogram Rail System (RPR) handguard. It has a circular profile with a raised roof for the 12 o’clock high Picatinny rail and the mid-length gas system that’s underneath. Its unusual design is a collection of M-LOK ovals and short Picatinny rails at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. Each of the other four bearings has a row of parallelograms. From certain angles, the handguard’s parallelograms looks like arched bridges. The ensemble brings new meaning to the word “skeletonized”. And that’s exactly what this thin-rail handguard is. It’s also free-floating for increased accuracy.

Inside the handguard half-hides the barrel and a .750 low profile gas block that connects to the rifle-length gas system. The barrel is made of 416R chromium stainless steel, has a 1 to 8” twist, M4 feed ramps, and a ½”x28 TPI threaded muzzle.

Fronting the muzzle is a pepper pot recoil-reducing muzzle brake. It’s a nicely tooled piece of work with a helix pattern of drilled holes that spiral slightly from front to back to evenly discharge exhaust gases and dissipate recoil energy in a radial pattern.

The trigger guard is perfectly flat and spans the area between the magazine well and the pistol grip.

Various components such as the charging handle, buffer tube and more are all Mil-Std.

At back is a six-position adjustable L-shaped Mission First Tactical (MFT) Minimalist Stock that tips the scales at just under 6 ounces. Its no frills appearance belies its functional nature. Among the MFT’s features are a rubber non-slip angled butt pad, multiple sling slots, a QD sling attachment and more in a compact package roughly 5.25” tall, 7” long and 1.75” wide.
