First announced in 1987, the Remington 1187 is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun. Typically, it weighs about 8 pounds with a 28-inch barrel, and will be 34-50 inches long. The 1187 incorporates a self-compensating gas system design, allowing for it to operate with every type of load; use a 2 ¾” all the way up to a 3” Magnum without any shooter adjustments. Available in two gauges, 20 and 12, both will cycle all sizes of shells. Find 1187s with interchangeable screw-in chokes, or find barrels with fixed chokes.
