The Sig Sauer P238 Two-Tone Semi-Automatic (also referred to as P238 TTS and 238-380-TSS) is a little lightweight all-metal 380 Auto semi-automatic optimized for concealed carry. This high-quality, accurate, reliable and powerful gun is essentially a mini M1911 wrapped around a 2.7” long carbon steel barrel.

This model’s standout features are its two-tone finish and fluted grips whose flutings match the grip’s diagonal tilt. The two-tone finish uses a black hard coat anodized frame. In contrast, the stainless steel slide has a natural finish and the fluted grips also have a silver/stainless-steel look.

Other crucial dimensions include a 3.9” height, 1.1” width, 3.8” sight radius and 5.5” overall length. Total weight is 15.2 ounces, so not even a pound. The P238 roster is very popular for good cause and has been around for over 10 years now.

The P238 has SIGLIGHT night sights. In back, the slide has seven shallow diagonal grip serrations and a loop hammer. Below it is the thumb safety. The front pivots up or down. Up is locked and down is ready to fire. The alloy frame also enjoys a fine medium beavertail

The slide stop, thumb safety, magazine release are all on the left. They’re intuitively placed. But as if to hammer home a point, Sig provides them a stainless steel finish so they stand out against the black frame. And the grip fasteners are black to show up against the stainless steel fluted grips.

The gun is single action only (SAO). The black solid curved trigger helps prevent placing the trigger finger in the wrong place when in a big hurry.

The gun comes with a single 6-round flush-mount steel magazine that has counting holes.
