The Savage 212 is an attractive, versatile, single bolt-action 12-gauge turkey gun with a one-piece scope rail. This slug gun shares its action with the Savage 110 bolt-action rifle. Except the different gauge barrel whose bore is 22% wider, the Savage 212 gun is visually and mechanically identical to the 20-gauge Savage 220 Turkey gun.

This gun’s weight is 7.6 pounds. It has a 22” barrel and an overall length of 44.5”. The barrel and receiver are both made of carbon steel while synthetic polymer stock comes standard with a matte “Obsession” camouflage pattern designed by Mossy Oak. Everything else is, predictably, black, to help you remain concealed. For instance, the barrel is matte black.

Speaking of barrels, the muzzle is tipped by a Winchester thread interchangeable extra-full turkey choke for tight pellet clusters downrange on target.

Like the Savage 110, the Savage 212 features Savage’s AccuStock, AccuFit and AccuTrigger components. Savage claims that the Savage 212 and Savage 220 are the only turkey guns with the ability to customize both length of pull and comb heights.

The Savage 212’s action slots into the AccuStock rail system. AccuStock is an ingenious item of engineering beauty. It has two long tracks that extend along either side of the bed, thus providing a three dimensional framework that seats the 22” free floating blued carbon steel barrel accurately and making it very stable within the stock bed.

Savage’s AccuFit system provides the butt stock with an adjustable comb and adjustable length of pull to allow you to better align your cheek and arm for optimal comfort and sighting. AccuFit comes with four spacers. Just remove two screws and put in the spacing you want. It also has five different combs for a variety of comb heights for different cheek to stock contact for optimal eye alignment.

And the AccuTrigger system gives the gun owner the ability to adjust the trigger to his or her ideal pull. AccuTrigger also prevents the rifle from discharging when jarred or dropped.

The two round box magazine is detachable and can be easily reloaded.
