Sharps Rifle History

Sharps rifles, a series of single-shot, large bore rifles that has become synonymous with the Old West in America ceased production in 1881. But not to worry. The model numbers are based on the year they were produced. The military Sharps rifle or Berdan Sharps rifle was a lightly-used, sharp-shooting weapon during the Civil War. The carbine version was more popular.
