The Sig Sauer P226 Nitron Full Size alloy frame 9 mm 15+1 capacity semi-automatic pistol has a black Nitron stainless-steel slide with the matte black hard coat anodized finished alloy frame.
The Nitron is a good looking double-action/single-action (DA/SA). It measures 1.5” wide, 5.5” tall with an overall length of 7.7” wrapped around a 4.4” long carbon steel barrel. The sight radius is 6.3”. Total weight is 34.0 ounces.
Nitron is SIG’s name for its PVD (physical vapor deposition) finish. It looks great and makes any gun corrosion resistant and more durable. The slides feature forward facing diagonal slide serrations in back. Behind the slides are an exposed hammer and a short beavertail below it.
There are four SKUs. The standard model has two 15-round steel mags. The Massachusetts and California compliant versions both feature two 10-round steel magazines instead. All three sport SIGLIGHT sights. The fourth SKU has two 15-round steel magazines but steel 3-dot Contrast Sights.
The four models have textured black E2 grips. They also have matte black finished fasteners, safeties, hammers, slide release, trigger, magazine release and any other externally visible actuation points.
