The Sig Sauer P229 Legion RXP Compact alloy frame 9 mm 15+1 capacity semi-automatic pistol have matte gray Elite Cerakote swathed over both their stainless-steel slides and frames and unique “Legion” diamond hatched black G-10 polymer grips.

The Legion RXP is like the standard P229 Legion but adds SIG SAUER Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night red dot sight set. The Legion RXP’s dimensions differ slightly from the other P229 series semi-autos. It measures 1.5” wide with an overall length of 7.1” wrapped around a 3.9” long barrel. The sight radius is 5.7”.

Compared to most other P229 series guns, the Legion RXP is taller and a tad heavier. That’s because the tall red dot rear sight increases total height to 6.4” and increases weight .4 ounces to 34.4 ounces.

The Legion RXP includes four variants. Two are single action/double action (SA/DA) and two are single action only (SAO). Each pair has a 3x15-round magazine option or state compliant 3x10-round magazine option.

These 9 mms have carbon steel barrels. Behind their slides are an exposed hammer and an elegant, curved beavertail below it.

All have P-SAIT triggers sourced from Grayguns. The P-SAIT flat-face trigger is dual adjustable for both pre-travel and over-travel. All four have matte black finished fasteners, safeties, hammers, slide release, trigger, magazine release and any other externally visible actuation points.
