The conceal carry Smith & Wesson 360PD 5-shot .357 Magnum / .38 S&W Special +P J-Frame revolver combines classic retro looks with modern manufacturing, lightweight materials and a matte black look. A standout 360PD feature is its orange fiber optic Hi-Viz fiber front sight coupled to a fixed rear one. The barrel is just 1.9” long while overall length is 6.3”. Weight is a feathery 11.7 ounces.

Model 360PDs combine a Scandium alloy frame, stainless-steel barrel and fluted titanium alloy cylinder with black synthetic grips. Like its predecessors, it’s a single action/double action (SA/DA) revolver.

While this small highly portable snag-free self-defense design is wonderfully cohesive and compact for conceal carry, it’s made of several different materials. The frame is lightweight Scandium alloy. This semi-exotic silvery-white metallic transition metal was discovered in 1879 in Uppsala, Sweden, hence the name Scandium.

It’s only about 2% Scandium that’s added to the aluminum, but it is good for welding and for mitigating grain issues. The fluted 5-round titanium cylinder is ultra-strong and lightweight. Both the barrel and are stainless-steel. The external hammer is also stainless-steel. The net result is this 360 PD weighs just 11.8 ounces, shaving 3.1 ounces from the standard 360 that has the same size frame, height, length, etc.

360PDs come standard with a black polymer grip. The grip has S&W’s signature oval texture and have two very nice frontstrap finger recesses.
