The Springfield Armory 1911 Vickers Tactical Masterclass .45 ACP features stainless-steel color schemes, skeletonized hammers and triggers, beautiful grips, upturned beavertails and more. The 1911 Vickers Tactical Masterclass is all black with a self-lubricating chemically bonded Black-T polymer finish that protects the slide and frame against impacts and rust. What contrasts nicely to the black slide and OD frame is the 5” long stainless-steel 1:16 twist ratio match grade forged barrel. Height is 5.5” and length is 8.6”.

Both slide and frame are forged carbon steel. The steel frame gives it substantial heft compared to aluminum alloy frames and means it weighs 41.5 ounces. Springfield Armory uses a strong forged slide, forged barrel and a forged frame for amazing quality. In contrast, other companies often cast theirs though forging adds durability.

This gun wears premium Vickers Elite Battle sights pairing a tritium/luminescent front sight to a U-Notch rear sight. No matter the lighting, the combination is great for fast target acquisition.

Speaking of slides, the slide features forward leaning grip serrations in back and a clean front. In back is a Wilson Combat loop hammer and a left side only thumb safety and below that a grip safety. It also has an integrated three-slot Picatinny rail under the recoil spring housing. Note: these guns use a GI-style recoil system.

The solid curved trigger has vertical serrations along its concave face. The grips are wavy G10 polymer grips with a woven look that integrates with texturing on the frontstrap and backstrap. They look great, feel great and their gray palette color scheme goes very nicely with the gun’s other colors. This semi-auto ships standard with two 8-round magazines.
