Buying an Item
(last updated on 6/2/2005 4:57:14 AM)

If payment and shipping terms are not included in the item description, you must contact the seller to negotiate these terms before placing a bid. Typically, shipping and insurance fees are not included in the bid unless specifically described as such in the item description. Some sellers are required by law to collect sales tax. Before placing a bid, you must contact the seller to clarify the terms of shipping & handling, insurance, sales tax, escrow fees, warranties (if any), and payment.

This is very important, as bids cannot be retracted or modified once placed. Lack of understanding of the auction terms is not legitimate grounds for failing to complete a transaction if you are the winning bidder.

When the auction is over, pay promptly -- and leave feedback about your experience!
