The bolt-action Thompson Center PC Long Range Rifle (also referred to as the Performance Center T/C LRR, etc.) is a mid-priced bolt-action rifle with premium looks, long-range accuracy and some impressive features. Both barrel and receiver are hewn from 4140 steel.

The gun is designed around a deep fluted 5R rifled precision barrel that’s fronted with a muzzle brake. It’s chambered in .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor. And you can get it with the stock Weather Shield finished in either black or FDE. All the other parts are black.

There are actually six models as each of the three aforementioned calibers comes in black or FDE. Moreover, you can get each in a scoped or a non-scoped package.

The .308 Winchester is the smallest. Its free-floated barrel is 20” long and 5/8”-24 UNEF threaded. In front is a twin-chamber muzzle break that brings the barrel’s length to 21.5”. Overall length is 41.5” and the gun weighs 11.2 pounds.

The 6.5 Creedmore has a 24” length barrel (25.5” with muzzle brake). Overall length is 45.5”, and it weighs 11.59 pounds.

Finally, the .243 Winchester has a 26” barrel (27.5” with muzzle brake). Overall length is 47.5 and weight is 12.03 pounds.

All LRRs comes standard with a 20 MOA Picatinny-type scope rail that bridges the ejection port. If equipped with the scope package, the scope a black Vortex Optics Diamondback 4-12x40 Variable Power Scope. This tough, clear, optic is durable, waterproof and fogproof.

The LRRs have a guaranteed 1” at 100 yards 3-shot group MOA accuracy with premium factory ammo.

Let’s discuss other LRR characteristics. The aluminum chassis stock is both well designed and well made. The forend is replete with M-LOK slots so you can attach the included bipod and other accessories almost anywhere you want. In back, the impressive skeletonized buttstock has a pair of rotary knobs to make adjusting the cheek piece and butt plate quick and intuitive. You can set length of pull from 13” to 14”.

Moving below, the gun features a Performance Center trigger that’s user adjustable from 2.5 to 3.5 pounds of pull pressure. The trigger sits in a slightly unusual rounded corner rectangular space. In between is a perfectly flat trigger guard bottom spanning the empty space between the box magazine and the pistol grip.

The gun ships standard with a lightweight aluminum Caldwell Pic Rail XLA Fixed Bipod. It has spring-loaded legs and soft rubber feet and attaches via a section of Picatinny rail. The gun also comes with a soft case and a 10-round detachable box magazine.
