The UTAS Defense UTS-15 12-gauge pump action shotgun has a full feature set and 14+1 round capacity packaged into combat bullpup dimensions. The UTS-15’s barrel is 19.6” long. The shotgun is 28.3” long overall and weighs just 6.9 pounds. The handguard is vast, squared off and enshrouds the barrel and above that not one but two 7-round magazine tubes. The handguard is replete with rounded corner rectangular lightening cutouts from front to back.

Overall, the UTS-15 evokes a carved block of matte black steel and matte FDE polymer and really packs so much into such relatively tiny overall dimensions.

It integrates so many well-designed and well-thought features. For instance, the entire handguard/receiver is crested by an integrated Picatinny accessory rail for optics or iron sights. It comes a front one adjustable for elevation while the rear sight is flip-up and windage adjustable.

The gun has not one, but two 7-round tubes located above the barrel! You can put 7 x 2 ¾” shells or 6 x 3” shells. This configuration also makes it easy to access the tubes for reloading.

The receiver is black while the polymer stock and pump-action get a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote coating for protection.

The bolt head has three locking lugs. The bolt head, bolt body, flash suppressor, barrel and barrel extension are all precision machined out of 4140 steel and heat treated. The barrel has a 20.5x1 threaded muzzle that works with Beretta/Benelli type chokes. It comes standard with a crowned extended tactical choke tube that is nicely knurled all around the tube’s full-length. You can also purchase an optional 7.5” barrel extension that threads onto the muzzle.

The UTAS-15 features fiber reinforced components such as a flip up stock and reinforced buttplate backed by a 1” thick black recoil absorbing pad. There are sling swivel mounts at front, middle and back. The black pistol grip has a nice palmswell and good bandings of horizontal serrations. The pump action has two sets of backward grip serrations and functions as a hand stop. The black trigger guard is a rounded rectangle with chamfered corners.
