Meet USA Shooting Team Athletes, Coaches
Shooting events at the London Summer Olympic Games begin July 28 and run through August 6. Get to know our USA Shooting Team athletes and coaches better through 10 interviews NSSF conducted recently at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Among the USA Team members we interviewed was rifle shooter, Olympic gold and silver medal winner and world champion Matt Emmons.
Help Prevent Wildfires
With wildfires causing significant damage in the West, NSSF reminds target shooters and hunters to take extra precautions when shooting in dry, fire-prone conditions. To reach firearms owners with this cautionary message, NSSF has produced an educational flyer and an audio public service announcement. NSSF encourages you to help spread the message. Wildfires have many possible causes; we don't want shooters or hunters to be among them.
Doug Koenig: Video Yourself to Shoot Better
Known as the world's best all-around shooter, Doug Koenig relies heavily on video replays to analyze his shooting techniques. Why not you? Doug reminds us that video can be a useful tool to evaluate your stance, balance and, in general terms, identify what you are doing well and what you need to focus on to improve.

In his previous videos, he's made complex topics such as minute-of-angle and long-range shooting easy to understand. Now former Army Ranger sniper team leader and instructor Ryan Cleckner covers the fundamentals of shooting--stability, sight alignment, sight picture and trigger control--in another informative presentation.
