CIVIL WAR REMINGTON U.S. 1858 NEW MODEL .44 CAL. PERCUSSION ARMY REVOLVER. 6 shot with 8” octagon barrel having the three line barrel stamp with “1858” patent date, “E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N. Y. U.S.” address and “NEW MODEL”. U.S. Cavalry standard issue during the Civil War, but this one was issued towards the very end of the war, as the SUPER good condition. Has Serial number 116320 on the barrel, frame under the grips and written in pencil on the wood grips. All original and matching Government Ordnance Sub-inspector’s stamps on the left and right side of the barrel and on the trigger guard. Working order and good bore and chambers. Super blue left with, maybe 60% or so, and a bit of patina in a few spots, I see very little pitting if any. Looks like the original grips with the cartouche, but it has a chip toward the middle of the cartouche. Grips fit very well and looks like they have not been sanded. Cylinder is stamped 6320 which is the last four digits of the serial number. I have not disassembled this revolver, nor have I fired it. The action cycles smoothly, and seems to lock up tightly. The barrel has prominent lands and grooves, the rifling is clear, with NO PITTING, has a unbelievable bore, for being about 150 years old. This gun came out of the 84 year old Gunsmith’s estate, please check out the other great guns I have on Gunbroker. . I have a few more high resolution pictures available, just email me at (fnikodem@infowest.com) or if you would like any pictures of other area’s, just email me.

Shipping will be 35.00, Plus insurance and its necessary. Will accept US Postal money orders as payment.
