Wilson Combat Tactical Elite 1911 in .45 ACP

Description of This Firearm
We are selling a Wilson Combat Tactical Elite chambered in .45 ACP. This handgun is a beautiful, full size 1911 with a unique flanged cone barrel. The extra weight of the heavier-than-standard barrel is designed to give the shooter softer recoil and faster recovery time between shots. The Tactical Elite was developed to be the softest shooting, non-compensated five-inch gun that would fit a standard holster. The flanged barrel is machined into the actual barrel blank - a more expensive way to manufacture, but this is why Wilson Combat offers top of the line firearms. Wilson Combat products are of exceptional reliability and peerless craftsmanship. Wilson certified gunsmiths spend a lot of time putting these guns together. Wilson firearms are hand fitted at each step of the build.

This Wilson Combat Tactical Elite is one of the finest firearms we've received. The quality, fit, and action are superb. These handguns are known to be soft shooters while being extremely accurate. Wilson Combat Tactical Elite is designed as a fighting gun. Looking at this firearm's finish, Wilson pulls off the "combat finish" nicely. There is some wear on the slide near the ejection port. This handgun is in fantastic condition and appears to have seen very little use. This handgun is extremely clean and has been well taken care of. As expected of Wilson firearms - mechanically, this handgun is extremely smooth and is in excellent functioning condition. This handgun comes with its original case, paperwork, and five Wilson Combat 8-round magazines. This handgun has had one owner, and it was picked up in January of 2004. The night sights on this piece are dim. If you're looking to own one of the highest quality 1911 models, consider this piece. This Wilson Combat Tactical Elite is a well-designed and well-built piece. This Wilson Combat Tactical Elite sophisticates the world of 1911's, and is one of the finest full size 1911's in today's market.

History of This Make & Model
The M1911 pistol originated in the late 1890's as a suitable semi-automatic pistol to replace the variety of revolvers then in service. In 1910, Colt and its designer, John Browning, found success in their entry. Six thousand rounds were fired from a single pistol over the course of two days. When the gun grew hot, it was simply immersed in water to cool it. The Colt gun passed with no reported malfunctions. Following its success, the Colt pistol was formally adopted by the army on March 29, 1911 and was designated Model of 1911. The M1911 served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1986. It was widely used in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. There are no more tested models than the 1911. If you're looking for a handgun either for yourself or for someone else, look no further and consider this firearm. Purchasing this firearm will last you many years to come!
