I sold a Army D.A. 38 special that is identical to this and had all the military marks and numbers on it. This is the civilian version in .41 cal and has no Army Marks or Navy Marks on it. This pistol had a broken hand spring and I made a new one. I tested it out without fixing the spring in place and I broke the new spring. I dropped it at my Gunsmith yesterday and will have a new Hand Spring made and attached/fixed in place this Week. I tested it for Timing with the spring I made and all was correct. New springs can be found for 10 to $20 range and Numrich (gunparts) has a Hand and Spring Listed for $34.00 but are out of stock at the moment. This will be shipped with a working spring in place However and you should have no problems. I have it listed as no return because of age. It can ship to a C&R i believe because of age. I will post more pictures for you this week. So I went to the Shop as I work in two different gunsmith shops. I knew I left the grips in a Drawer and I needed to see if they were still there before I Included them. What you see is the Grips that have been on the Pistol for more then the last 60 years. That is far back as we can confirm. A friend bought a Museum that sat for 30 years before he bought it with all exhibits in it, he then sold off everything he did not want to keep. I made 3 springs that worked and broke them when hammering a hook in them so I asked my friend to do it for me. He is 70 and went to Oregon Technical Gunsmith College in 1970. He has been at this a while. i included a partial picture of one of his work benches as well. This Pistol will have a working spring when it ships. the serial number is in the 90 xxx to 95 xxx Range. I will not post the number online for all to see. I do not need a FFL to ship to, but if you do I will. For shipping I posted 5 lbs because I build a box for it. I will ship where legal, I do not know your Laws and expect you to Look them up. Make offer if you wish. Thanks! So my friend Bob the Gunsmith fixed my spring in about 1 1/2 minutes. It is a working gun and I will provide his number if you bid on it. Bob
