CUSTOM 1903 Springfield Model 1903 chambered in .22-250, the serial number 1,333,8xx dates the rifle 1929. It has a 23” no sights tapered heavy barrel that is floated into the stock. The trigger is unmarked & has an adjustment screw. It is topped off with a vintage Weaver K10 60-B scope that is 16” long, has an adjustable field of vision & eye relief. The exterior shows some finish wear but has crystal clear optics. The stock is an original 1903; steel butt plate with the cleaning kit door, pistol grip, rear sling swivel & has a cartouche SA over GAW plus cross cannons. GAW = George A. Woody Lt. Col., USA M1 .30 Rifle, Colt 1929-1932 and 1941-1944. The stock has been shortened & given a nice finish that shows off the grain. Great looking furniture in excellent condition; no cracks or fills with only minor handling marks. The bluing shows only a little wear with no rust issues, turning a plum colored Patina & has only minor handling marks & a couple of pin head pits found upon up-close inspection. Mechanically sound; functions properly & safely with a smooth action & strong ejection. The bore is excellent; bright & shiny with no frosting.
