AYA Model 53 12 gauge with full-coverage bouquet & scroll engraving over detachable sidelocks. Serial 140738 as made in 1961. Both sets of barrels are original, 28 inches long and numbered "1" and "2". Chokes are IC/IM and M/F on gauge. Ejectors, articulated front trigger, side clips and game ribs. Seldom used, barrels remain fully on face and ring like windchimes in a trailer park. Opening lever camps to the right. Fantastic dimensions. Weight is 7.0 pounds, LOP is 14.75-inches, drops are 1.6 inches and 2.25 inches and cast (off) eyeballs to about .375 inch. Full coverage engraving (bouquet and scroll) on receiver, rolled trigger guard and tangs, opening lever, forearm furniture and grip cap screw. Gold line cocking indicators and gold "1" and "2" on ribs. Checkered butt, single beads and bushed strikers. Overall metal finish remains about 98% (rust blue on barrels, guard, lever and forend furniture, nickel receiver). Wood retains 98% of the original hand-rubbed oil finish and has only slight evidence of field use, but does have the beginning of a hairline above the right lock and just to the right of the opening lever (can be stabilized and would nearly disappear). Automatic safety. Leather takedown case with brass corners (no label, separated straps) and snaps. Price firm. Layaway considered. Comprehensive photo package by request.
Credit card purchases will be assessed a convenience fee of 3.5% for most cards and 4.5% for American Express. Items purchased by personal check require a bank hold of 10 days to clear. Wire transfers are accepted.
