$$ PRICE REDUCED $$ JUST IN TIME FOR Christmas for Sale A German Luger with High Relief Engraving, Done by Hammer & Chisel. 1908 First Issue Erfurt, reworked by DWM Super Rare Lug Stock Removed All matching numbers #2817, Assembly #17 Shinny Bore DWM proof marks on Rear and Toggle Axel Pistol Spring strong Re-blued approx. in 1948, Trigger and ejector has strawing, Z marked under take down well, Collectors Dream Gun, This type of engraving is not done any longer. It’ a lost art. It would take 8 months to a year to engrave this gun. I have owned the gun since 1969. In 1981 the Luger was on loan to the German Weapons Exhibit, at The War Memorial Museum of Virginia for 8 years. John V. Quarstein, the Curator had it seen by the Curator of Smith & Wesson. He stated it was the finest engraving on a gun that he had ever seen. The Historian at Bob's Gun Shop in Norfolk Virginia stated that it was one of a kind and he said it was priceless.
