W.H. Hamilton / 12 Gauge SXS Belgium Shotgun

Offered for your consideration is an early 20th Century W.H. Hamilton, 12 Gauge, SXS, Belgium manufactured, shotgun featuring “Rabbit Ear” hammers.

The action is relativity tight with only a very, very, small amount of play between the breech face and chamber end of the barrels. The barrels are 28 inches long and are not Damascus twist, but are made of steel and have chokes of undetermined value. The stock appears to be walnut and is solid with no cracks or splits. However, the fore end has a tight crack on the side which is next to the barrels. Only a very small portion of the crack is visible on the opposite side at the very tip of the fore end. This can be clearly seen in the last four pictures. A previous owner has added the silver colored inserts to both the sock wrist & fore end. Both hammers seem to work as designed.

Product Information:
Action: Break open side plate.
Metal Finish: Patina.
Caliber/Gauge: 12 Gauge.
Serial Number: 965.
Bore: Semi-bright with spotty discoloration probably due to areas of what appears to be light pitting .
Barrel Length: 28 Inches with undetermined choke values.
Grip/Stock: Appears to be walnut with no cracks, spits.
Features: “Rabbit Ear” hammers; extractors.
Extras: None.
Estimated NRA Antique Condition: Good to Very Good.
Parts Not Present: None.
Parts Broken: None.
