DA-004-B (10649)-EBB- Breech-loading .32 cal rimfire French Flobert CADET MUSKET , ca. 1860”s-1870’s, when military schools were all the rage in in upper-class society. Along with the 3-R’s, the kids learned military discipline, and did military drilling and battle maneuvers, just like real soldiers. During the Civil War, the Confederacy, short of men and arms, actually did press some cadet schools to produce regiments of these boys into service. Armed with these same guns. So did the communists in WW I, as well as many other cultures. A sandbag is a sandbag, and boys can stop a bullet as easily as grown men. This is perhaps the best preserved specimen we have ever seen, as most of these were hard used or damaged. Fully functional, very nice full length stock, and a fine, shiney bore in the 27 ½“ barrel. Overall length, 42 ½ “. Proofed and marked by BELGIUM, and FL 8, for the designer, FLOBERT MODEL 8. Retains both sling swivels, nice original open sights, and regimentally stamped in the stock, company L, 30th regiment. Retains the nickled cleaning rod. All orginal, complete, as-is. .SAFETY NOTICE: We do not sell firearms, only collectible antiques, if you shoot them it is at your own risk and we are not liable for anything you do.
