About good condition Indonesian Mannlicher turnbolt short rifle. Originally manufactured as a Dutch KNIL Model 1895 Carbine or Rifle in 6.5 x 53r caliber, and later arsenal modified and converted to .303 British after WWII. Rifle is marked “HEMBRUG 1919” on the left side of the receiver for initial production, and has nice clear Indonesian star markings on the receiver and barrel that are NOT ground. Receiver is also marked with the caliber and dated 1952. Rifle is NOT import marked and has nonmatching numbers. Magazine internal parts are missing. Metal finish is arsenal reblue with some wear and some pitting around the stock line. Bore is good with strong rifling and a little gray. Rifle has correct original muzzle brake/bayonet lug. Stock was arsenal refinished and shows some wear and handling marks. Handguard has a few repaired cracks. A hard to find Indonesian Mannlicher short rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
