DA-019-F (8794)-EBA-12 gage percussion double-barrel side-by-side sporting shotgun, ca. 1840-60, no markings, and typical armament of the western migration movement in America during the 19th century. Damascus barrels, original wood ramrod with steel wormer and brass tip. Fine one piece walnut stock with plain checkering at wrist, all sound. All steel surfaces in smooth brown patina, including bores. Fully functional, but the war of the ages has dulled the sears and tumbler notches so they don’t keep the hammers cocked (fixed by a good cleaning and a sharp file.) Good original nipples, 34” barrels, overall length, 50 inches. A handsome heirloom of the American West. Needs a new barrel-keeping wedge… Currently using a piece of tough leather. A handsome piece. All original, complete, as is. SAFETY NOTICE: We do not sell firearms, only collectible antiques, if you shoot them it is at your own risk and we are not liable for anything you do.
