This is a VERY unique Dan Wesson .38/.357 Magnum. First: It has NEVER been fired. Second: This is the ACTUAL Pistol Pac that was photographed and is shown in the Dan Wesson Arms brochure that was used starting in 1978. It was manufactured sometime around January 1978, in Monson, MA. It includes: Ventilated Rib Heavy Barrel Assemblies in 2-1/2”, 4”, 6”, & 8” lengths, Oversize Target Checkered Zebrawood Grip, Combat Smooth Walnut Grip, Four Additional Colored Front Sight Blades (2 yellow & 2 white), Dan Wesson Arms Belt Buckle & Patch, Two Different Styles of Disassembly Tool, Barrel Shim, and Instruction Booklet, all in the Original Locking Carrying Case w/ Keys. It also includes the full-color Dan Wesson Arms Brochure and a Retail Price Sheet from 1977. Condition: This .357 Magnum is in excellent condition. There are no visible signs of rust on the Revolver itself, or any of the Barrels or Barrel Shrouds. The Brite Blue finish is also in excellent condition. It was only handled for the purposes of photography, so there may be some minor scuffs/surface scratching from handling. The Pistol Pac could probably use a thorough cleaning and detailing. There is a very small indentation on the back side of the Zebrawood Grip. It is small enough that it could be touched up to blend in with the existing finish. The hinges on the Carrying Case do have some rust that may be able to be removed with a rust remover such as WD-40. When this gun was manufactured, its intended use was for photography purposes. Because of this, the cylinder bolt was left out intentially. It was left out so that the bolt would not leave a scratch, or groove in the cylinder. This cylinder bolt is available from the current Dan Wesson Arms for $30, should you choose to fire it. Proof of the authenticity of this Dan Wesson .357 Magnum will be provided to serious interested parties only. This is truly a one-of-a-kind Dan Wesson Arms .357 Magnum! Own a unique piece of American firearm history!
