This is a Remington Woodmaster in .35 Remington. The bore is sharp and outstanding. The wood has never been touched and retains its original finish, and has only a few handling marks. The action is strong and the internals are sharp and crisp. It appears that the rifle was not used very much. The sights, or at least the rear, have been replaced with an aftermarket peep sight. The screw holes have been filled but do not appear damaged. The cartridge is the most desirable .35 remington. This is the rifle that can be broken down by removing the handguard and rotating the locking bar to remove the barrel. According to my research, this rifle was made in 1940. Take a look at the serial number to confirm. This rifle and caliber is well known as one of the firearms used to cut down Bonnie and Clyde by the Texas Rangers.

Hard to say what got on the barrel near the front, but it went right through the blue and caused deep rust marks. There are some specs you can see in the pictures. This needs some TLC cleaning. It would take some effort to fix these, but it might be easier to replace the shroud. With a little work, this would be an outstanding classic rifle.

Shipping - Buyer pays actual shipping/insurance costs. Estimated costs based on the FFL address. Shipping of long guns will be by USPS Priority Mail Insured.

Restrictions – This is a modern firearm, and must be shipped to an owner of an FFL or C&R. It was produced in 1940, so it meets the 50+ year criteria. A signed copy of the FFL/CR must be sent along with payment, no emails.

Use - This firearm has not been fired or inspected by a qualified gunsmith, and it is recommended that it be inspected prior to use.
