This gun is my personal shooter Python. It is mechanically perfect. Lock-up is tight, timing is perfect. It has some minor cosmetic flaws. There is a turn line, but it is hardly noticeable.

Two photos have been added looking into the barrel from the muzzle to show the quality of the bore.

Medical bills force the sale of many of my favorite toys, and this, my favorite revolver, is one of them.

My wife was diagnosed with non-small cell pulmonary carcinoma (lung cancer) just a year ago. She is doing remarkably well, thank you, but the bills keep coming and must be paid.

Born in 1976, this revolver apparently has been carried a lot and fired little and shows having been used and very well cared for. It comes as shown in the photos. This Python was my shooter Python and it quickly became my favorite handgun bar none! It's weight and balance make it easy to shoot it well, and considerably better than any other revolver I own or have owned.

This handgun is a truly fine example of revolvers built in the days of the best craftsmen at Colt. It exhibits a little honest wear, but lock up is tight and timing is perfect. The barrel is pit free and mirror bright with sharply defined rifling. As expected, this gun has the legendary smooth Python action with crisp let-off and a very light single action trigger pull.

The grips are original to this revolver. They fit well and show little wear. The right grip panel shows evidence of having been broken and repaired near the top.(See red arrows.) The blue condition is estimated to be about 90%, more or less. There are no deep scratches though there is a small booger on the cylinder and it can be seen in the photos. There is some loss of bluing at the muzzle and at the front, sharp edges of the cylinder. This can often be indicative of holster wear. This gun has all the hallmarks of having been in and out of a holster often. Possibly carried by a LEO? Who knows? I believe these photos tell the story of the condition of this gun. Nothing quite like photos to tell it like it is.

In all honesty, I will probably miss this gun more than any other I will ever sell.
