This item is a 1st Edition, 1st Issue, March, 1960 of Shooting Times magazine. These first several issues were printed in what was called the “pocket newspaper” manner. I guess this meant that you could fold it in half and put it in your pocket. Pockets must have been bigger then. They’re 11” X 17”. This first issue have a very good article on the Maynard cartridges. There are tears on both the front and back covers and I’ve shown that in the photos. However, it’s all there, no missing pieces. There used to be tape on these tears, but the tape is gone. I would call the condition “fair”. It’s fun to read the ads of the day. Authors of the era who wrote for Shooting Times were Bert Popowski, Graham Burnside, David O. Moreton, H. Gschwind , Crawford Hollidge, Stu Miller, Melvin M. Johnson, Jr., Kent Bellah, Wallace Labisky, Ruth Douglas, R. O. “Slim” Ackerman, Kenneth L. Waters, Col. George Busby, P. O. Ackley, Frank de Haas, Carlos Vinson, Thomas F. Hall and Fred Thacker.
