DA-0012-H-(11292)-JCC-JCC- World War II GERMAN 3.7cm STIELGRANATE 41 (missing only the explosive bomb that mounted in the cupped body.) This was a heavy “Stick bomb” with shaped charge of high explosives, which was inserted back end into the muzzle of the 3.7cm Pak 35/36 anti-tank field gun, (among a few other captured guns of similar size.) A special blank cartridge was loaded at the breech, to propel the bomb, which was guided to the target by 6 steel fins. Fired at tanks and other armored vehicles with great effect and range. In good used condition, extremely rare, but few were taken as souvenirs or trophies due to their bulk and weight. This specimen makes it back with a veteran only after the explosive bomb was removed. Do your research. Only a couple survives today, in even fewer museums. Overall length, 24 ¼”. Marked only “awj.” Pictures included. Bet you don’t have one in YOUR WWII artillery collection. All original, as-is.
