Up for bid is this 1913 production 1911 Colt ACP. This pistol has no original finish , but some cold blue has been used on the frame. The grey brown finish appears to have had surface frosting in the distant past. The pistol is correct in that the slide legend and rounded sight is correct for the SN 301xx frame; the barrel has been buffed/cleaned and only a hint of the original horizontal "H P" can be seen, rifling worn not pitted; the slide stop undercut and the thumb safety is the thin tab model (refinished); recoil spring guide has pointed legs; grips worn consistent with gun wear and have required COLT 14/15 rows of checks; The mag is worn consistent with the pistol; correct long trigger and short hammer;frame and slide markings are legible. I have tried to give an description of this old survivor as the photos don't always answer these questions. If you have been watching these early 1911's you know what the original parts are selling for and I am starting the bidding only slightly more than parts. Please ask questions as I want the buyer to understand what they are buying. This is no beauty queen but it is not a rust bucket mixmaster parts gun and has the correct parts as noted. No International, or non Continental US bidders please. Payment via Bank Cashiers Ck or USPS Money Order within 7 days to include $35.00 shipping. C&R OK. I NEVER recommend firing these old guns nor buying unless you understand the laws of your locality. Thanks for looking and Good Luck Bidding
