This is an outstanding example of a Antique Civil War W. Uhlinger .32 Rim Fire Pocket Revolver.

William P. Uhlinger produced about 10,000 rimfire cartridge spur trigger revolvers (two types of.22 caliber and one type of.32 caliber) in Philadelphia, PA between 1861 and 1865. His solid frame, single action cartridge revolvers were well made and relatively successful.

There is no doubt that many a Union soldier went to war with a small frame Uhlinger pistol in his pocket for emergencies,

The matching serial number #780 is found on the bottom of the grip frame, under the barrel (hidden by the ejector rod), and on the cylinder. They were produced under trade names or were left unmarked in an attempt to avoid detection by Smith & Wesson for patent infringement. This revolver is marked on the right side of barrel "DD CONE WASHINGTON DC"; a patent attorney.

It has a 4 -5/8” octagon barrel; 6 shot round cylinder and an Iron frame with spur trigger. Also it has a small, rounded blade front sight, and frame groove rear sight.

The two piece rosewood grips are fine and have only minor dings with small chips at toe. The action functions correctly, and the markings are crisp. The gun has some light surface blemishes; the bore is dark.

This gun will be a great addition to your Civil War revolver collection
