Selling my McFadden Machine Ultimate Tripod ($250. I shot with a group of guys that all had modified McFadden tripods - modified from mild to super wild. In the past they let me borrow one of their extra tripods for a local shooting event, and I liked the tripods so much, I finally purchased my own from McFadden and purchased the customized top assembly from one of the guys in the shooting group. The customized top assembly has a wooden extendable rear “shelf” that can be adjusted for an arm rest, a rear wooden compartment for a sandbag rest (I’m not including my rear bag or rifle - lol!), a front wooden compartment with cartridge holder, front arm rest, and a front “guide”/horizontal bar that allows you to precisely move your aiming point. The front rest is not the simple rest from McFadden, it’s a techie Sinclair adjustable unit that adjusts for cant. The upper portion of the legs where they mount to the cradle has been strengthened over the factory McFadden tripod setup with the use of custom aluminum spacers inside and outside of the wooden arms. The stand is setup for a right-handed shooter. The center adjustment dial is the factory McFadden unit in the picture, and included with the stand are all the parts laying under the stand - a brass catcher, a custom center adjustment dial, an extendable metal “boom” that connects via nylon web strap to the front stud of the rifle to “lock” it down to the cradle much tighter, a simple golf-style “round counter” that can be mounted to the cradle, plus the pictured gear bags and McFadden factory paperwork and parts list…and the original top end assembly bars so you can build another top end, if you wish. I have at least $600 + into all of this equipment, but I figured $250 is a good price for someone who would like to try a precision tripod and wants a rig that’s ready-to-go with lots of cool mods that are well thought out. This model has the 50” black powder coated metal legs. Once you shoot from the standing position behind one of these, you will be spoiled forever. The stability of this type of tripod is unmatched by anything else like it. Unfortunately, I have too many projects and I’ve decided it’s time to make room for new items. Thanks for checking it out! Shipping to the lower 48 states only. Shipping will be $35 for FedEx Ground, as it will require at least one large box to ship all the equipment. This tripod has not been used out in the field, it's all new equipment...
