Dates: August or September 2018. / Duration: 7 days. / Departure Point: Fort St. John, BC Outfitter is Wicked River Outfitters. / Wicked River Outfitters has a guiding territory in northern BC, west of Fort St John (1,500 square miles). These are mountain hunts, you will need to be in good shape as Mountain Goat hunting is a very physically demanding hunt. Wicked River Outfitters offer hunts from the main lodge, remote camps, and spike camps. The guides can get to you these “kings of the mountain” using the horses allows you to travel deep into the backcountry and by backpacking from spike camps. Riding the horses really saves your body until your goat is spotted and it’s time to climb. The horses also allow you to cover a lot of ground during your hunt and eliminate long approaches to the mountain. Wicked River guides have been with the outfitter for many years. You can rely on their judgment and expertise since they know the area, terrain, and wildlife habits. Wicked River guides will work hard to make your hunt as successful, enjoyable, memorable, and safe as possible. All meals and accommodations for this 7-day hunt are included. A transportation charter fee, from Fort St John, of $2,500 USD along with licenses, tags and HPF are not included. Retail for this hunt is $11,850. I purchased this hunt from the Guides Association of BC auction before I blew out my knee, so I need to sell it at a HUGE discount to a lucky buyer of this auction item.
