This is definitely a rifle that you only see once in a lifetime and when they say when you see it is the time to buy it, this is what they were talking about. This is a Browning Superposed Express over and under .30-06 rifle. The rifle is in approximately 95-98% condition and the factory Browning hard case is in equally as good of a shape. There are typical wear marks. Here is a great rifle for close range work for deer size game that has the European feel. Why shouldn't it stir up thoughts of going after wiled stag in the Black Forest, it was made in Belgium? It's already set up with a Leupold VX3 1.5-5x20mm scope mounted with Griffin & Howe quick release 1" mounts. The scope also has Butler Creek flip up lense caps. This is on a Griffin & Howe 1/4" rib that was professionally added by a gunsmith for the previous owner. In front of the forward most scope mount there is a flip up iron sight and the front sight is missing its original gold bead, also ther is some white residue that can be removed. This is all over top of the 24 inch barrels with good/strong rifling. The schnabel forend has great wrap around checkering. There is good looking engraving work all over the receiver with checkering, on the unlocking lever. The trigger is gold in color with a 14 inch length of pull. The safety doubles as the selector for which barrel fires. The same great checkering on the forend also wraps around the wrist of the straight English style stock. All this is capped off by the classic black polymer Browning butt plate. In the leather wrapped hard case is an extra set of 30mm Griffin & Howe quick release mounts and 2 .30-06 snap caps. This will be one family heirloom that will be passed down for generations to come. Auction disclaimer The item pictured is the item for bid. Add 3% for credit cards.
