This original cup is a classic example of a personal artifact of the Civil War; a Collapsible Cup in a small neat Carrying Case which was easy to carry in their haversack or pocket.

The cup is made of three, tapered rings which when lifted all join together to form a 3" tall cup. When not in use, it collapsed and fits into a diminitive tin carrying case which measures about 2-3/4" diameter x 1-1/4" tall. The cup is pewter and the case is tole tin with original brown varnish finish.

The cup is in excellent condition with some minor blemishes; the tin carrying case exterior is fine with some original varnish; the interior has some light rust and shows its age.

A great original Civil War collectible, and very displayable.
