This Royal Blue 6” barrel Python was used as a prototype experimental piece pertaining to the tops trap ramp grooves for the Bushnell scope mount that is on it. It was housed in the Colt Factory Archive room, until the company liquidated the Colt Archive Collection in 2008. It has never had stocks on it. It does appear to have been test fired only. This Python comes in the proper Custom Shop Maroon box with S.N. 84825 on the Custom Gun Shop label. It also has the X mark on the box showing its Archive provenance. The included Colt letter lists it as an “experimental Python”. Original Colt letter included, as is a Colt Historical Research Form also listing it as an experimental piece with no rear sight. One of a kind here, Boys (and ladies)!
