This is an Argentine Mauser carbine, Model M1891. This gun is an excellent example of this model - matching numbers (receiver, barrel, bolt, magazine and stock) and clean. Full stock with straight grip. Fron sight protectors and sling loops attached to bottom of stock behind trigger guard. 7.65x53mm caliber. Argentine crest is intact. Bore is clean with clear grooves and lands. Based on the serial number, the gun was shipped from Germany to Argentina on September 20, 1899 aboard the steam ship SS "Pampa". (This can all be verified in the book "Argentine Mauser Rifles" by Colin Webster, pages 108-109.) $35 shipping to east coast, $45 to rest of country except west coast, $55 to west coast. Penny start and no reserve on this gun.
