This is an early walnut M1 Carbine stock marked RMC in the sling well. I believe the RMC is a Rock-ola. It has an oval oiler. The highwood is intact. It has not been cut down. There is a cross cannon cartouche on the right side of the stock in a box with RMC stamped above the cross cannons. I can't find any P proof mark or any rebuild marks on this stock. There is a circular blemish on the right side of the stock. Possibly it was a dent in the stock. Please see photo # 9. It looks like someone made a repair with wood filler. The area is a little rough to the touch. It does not go all the way through the stock. The barrel band retaining spring and the escutcheon are included with the stock. There is what looks to be a small crack at the recoil plate. See photo #14. There is no loose wood or missing wood and a recoil plate will fit firmly with no problems. The inside wall has not been routed out. See photo # 15. Also note the escutcheon area. There is a line that looks like a crack, but I can only see it on the surface of the stock and I can't get my very thin finger nail in it at all. There is a matching two rivet, walnut handguard which is clearly marked RMC. All markings on our Carbine stocks are authentic, genuine USGI.

Please ask questions if you have them before you bid. Please request more photos if you need them. Check out our feedback and bid with confidence.
