Peabody Carbines 16-17 Peabody Carbines Made by the Providence Tool company, Providence, Rhode Island; 1866-71. Total quantity all models 112,000. Iron mountings; blued finish with casehardened receiver. Walnut stock. Carbine: 20” barrel; .50” Rimfire caliber, forend fastened by single barrel band; sling ring on left side receiver. Marked Peabody patent, July 22, 1862, Manufactured by Providence, R.I. Condition: Stock with cartouche, inspectors marks on parts, Bbl has nice dark blue/brown patina, receiver has 50% case colors, a little silvered out, metal is clean, no corrosion, stock has a few dents etc., fine, looks great. Bore ex. wasn’t used much. (16-17) $1,650.00 I take Visa/MasterCard, add 3%. Allow two weeks for all checks, whether bank, personal or certified to clear. It is also possible to wire funds to my account for instant credit for a $20.00 wire charge. 3 day- no questions asked return period for refund of price paid for gun.
