This week’s auction item is a 223 Rem caliber M77RLDZ MKII. The serial number on this rifle is 780-01788, and the rollmark date is December 6, 1988. This model rifle is not listed in any of the Ruger price sheets or catalog, and is likely a special make-up. Some features include a 20-inch blued steel barrel with no sights, and the receiver is factory machined to accommodate Ruger scope rings. The stock has a black rubber recoil pad with embossed Ruger® eagle logo. It is an ultra-light barreled action with a desert-color laminate stock. There are sling swivel studs attached to the forend and buttstock. The M77® Mark II rifle has a steel hinged floorplate and trigger guard with a staggered box magazine that holds four cartridges. The rifle is being sold “as is” and will be shipped in its original box along with the original instruction manual and marketing material. A set of Ruger scope rings is also included. The purchaser assumes all liability for its safe and proper ownership, storage, use, and resale. The rifle is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut, and a Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction. Note: the winner of this auction will be responsible for paying the Federal Excise Tax.
