Beautiful, 1968 Year Smith & Wesson Model 27-2, Earlier High Luster Brilliant Blue finish, 5” Pinned Barrel and Recessed Cylinder, .357 Magnum/.38 Special and +P revolver, with the Original Factory S&W Serial Number Matching Magna American Walnut Checkered Grips/stocks, in the Vintage Original Smith & Wesson Serial Number Matching blue 2 piece Box with Original S&W Factory end label, solid silver border and Papers auction. This Model 27 appears to be Test Fired Only! A Beautiful Smith & Wesson High Luster Brilliant Blue, Model 27-2, Pinned 5” Pinned barrel and Recessed/counter bored cylinder, N-Frame square butt variation, with Earlier desirable and Collectible “S” prefix Serial number, S311282, manufactured 1968-1969 per the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson. The Earlier Original Brilliant Blue Smith & Wesson finish for the most part is in high condition, 2 small barely noticeable areas on the underside with discoloration and very light pock marks seen under magnification on the barrel underside and front butt end as seen in the photos, there is very light turn line on the cylinder, both ends of the cylinder, recoil shield are Exceptionally clean and the forcing cone area shows very few signs of being fired. The bore is bright and the rifling is Factory sharp. This Model 27 mechanics are Perfect and it locks up tight, showing few signs of being fired. All remarkable considering this Model 27 is 49 Years Old! The Original Case-hardened Hammer and Trigger, case coloring is still very prominent. Since the Model 27 is the direct descendant of the Smith & Wesson Registered Magnum it features, the S&W Factory checkered barrel rib with finely checkered top-strap, serrated back-strap and fore-strap along with the Original Micrometer click fully adjustable rear sight and Baughman front sight. This Model 27 comes with a pair of High Condition, Smith & Wesson Original Serial Number Matching American Walnut Checkered “Magna” Grips/Stocks with S&W Silver Medallions and black washers. They are in the same High Condition as this revolver with few Very light handling marks. Included in this auction is the Vintage Original Smith & Wesson 2 piece Blue Box with silver solid border and the Original S&W end label that has the same Serial Number and product information as this revolver, it has some storage wrinkles, discoloration, wear, top right Factory box edge reinforcement is detached. Also included is the Smith & Smith & Wesson Paperwork includes “.357 MAGNUM REVOLVER MODEL No. 27” Manual, S&W Warranty Card, Smith & Wesson Authorized Warranty-Service Centers and Smith & Wesson “Since 1852” paper. The Smith & Wesson Model 27 is the descendant of the .357 Registered Magnums and includes the Beautiful Checkered Top Strap and Barrel rib. This is Great American High Quality Craftsmanship! The Model 27 is one of the finest revolvers S&W has manufactured and is considered the “Crown Jewel” of Smith & Wesson revolvers. The Model 27-2 with 5” barrel is considered by many Smith & Wesson collectors and enthusiasts to be the Perfect barrel length size for balance, accuracy and the Pinnacle of Smith & Wesson Craftsmanship. A Beautiful Smith & Wesson Model 27-2, High Luster Brilliant Blue 5”, manufactured in the 1968-1969, .357 Magnum revolver with Pinned barrel and Recessed/counter bored cylinder with Original Serial Number Matching Grips and Box that is a Must have for your collection of High Quality American made firearms.
