The rear sights look and feel new. The elevation knob is DRC, windage knob is marked NFC. The stock is a USGI issue in walnut with the circle P stamped on the grip. It is solid and has few handling marks. There are 3 repairs on the front hand guard that are yacht-quality woodworking, doing what sailors call "Dutchman" wood splices inlaid into cut out damaged areas very precisely. The repairs show a "Let nothing go to waste" attitude, plus the skilled work of some of the war effort that has been forgotten. You can see the small repairs in picture 8.
