I'm offering this 100% authentic signature of WWII Ace MG Marion E. Carl, USMC (1915-1998). During WW2 Carl served with VMF-223 and downed over 18 enemy planes. His combat decorations include two Navy Crosses, the Legion of Merit w/Combat V, and numerous DFCs and Air Medals. Carl served during WWII, the Korean and Vietnam Wars retiring from the military in 1973. Carl, who survived three wars without a scratch, was murdered in his Oregon home by an intruder as he endeavored to protect his wife from harm. This is a hand-signed card out of a huge old collection that I've been breaking up. Cover is in real nice condition with no damage. Personally signed by Carl in black pen. Piece shows toning and age with gentle fading to the ink. This was part of an estate sale of a family friend, WW2 and KW vet, and devoted militaria collector who owned an antiques and collectibles store here in Jersey City from the 1950's thru the 1990's when most of the collection was assembled. Most of the items in both his collection and store's inventory- all of which I acquired- were personally obtained by the proprietor/collector or his wife either in person or via correspondence. Please ask questions before bidding and look at the photos. I'm offering this piece "as is". CONUS shipping will be $3. Combined shipping discounts are automatic. Insurance is an optional $1.85 as determined by the USPS. Uninsured items ship solely at the buyer's risk. So give this some consideration because I will not issue a refund or credit on any uninsured item damaged or mysteriously "lost" in the mail. Your bid constitutes full acceptance of my shipping policy.
