RARE ORIGINAL GERMAN WW2 Luftwaffe Flyer's Commemorative Badge
Up for auction is an original German WW II Luftwaffe (=German Air Force) Flugerinnerungsabzeichen (Pilot Commemorative Badge). The badge was introduced in 1936 and issued for honourable discharge to flying personnel who previously received Luftwaffe badges (i.e. aerial gunner, observer) in the line of duty. In the case of death, the Next Of Kin could receive this award as well. This is unmarked version.
REFERENCE: Order & Ehrenzeichen 1800-1945, by Jorg Nimmergut, 2003/2004, item #4023, valued 1750.00 or $2205.00. Manion auction sold this badge for $1800 - look at here (lot #5608944).
Estimate price for that nice item is $1800 - $1900
